Platform Engineering Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Head of Platform Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of 3-5 engineers and SREs, fostering a high-performance culture
• Lead the planning and execution of the Platform Engineering team's roadmap in alignment with business goals
• Oversee the technical architecture and operations for backend services, ensuring reliability and scalability

Required Qualifications

• Experience managing a backend/cloud team of at least 2 engineers
• Strong Python programming skills, particularly in data I/O systems programming and Django UI
• Solid skills with modern cloud-based platforms, especially Google Cloud
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker for deployment and scaling
• Experience building and maintaining scalable systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
