Platform Engineering Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Engineering Manager, Platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire and build a high-performing platform team, expanding from the current size to 2-4 additional engineers
• Own the platform team's roadmap, prioritizing business problems and balancing investments in reliability, scalability, and feature delivery
• Lead incident response efforts, conduct postmortems, and drive improvements in service reliability

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an engineering manager in a startup or mid-sized company
• Strong technical foundations to contribute to platform services and infrastructure
• Proven track record of hiring, growing, and retaining engineering talent
• Experience with leading on-call rotations and incident response for high-availability services
• Familiarity with fast-growing engineering organizations and ability to adapt ideas without dogma
