Platform Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a dynamic team in a remote full-time capacity, the Platform Engineering Manager will oversee the delivery and technical direction of the platform engineering team, focusing on building pipelines, integrations, and an AI platform while driving the adoption of AI-native practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain architectural standards for data pipelines, application integrations, and the AI platform, ensuring best practices in CI/CD and automated testing
• Manage capacity planning and delivery cadence across multiple workstreams, removing blockers and communicating changes effectively
• Contribute hands-on development work while leading and coaching engineers to foster growth and maintain high performance standards

Required qualifications

• 4 to 6+ years of experience in software or platform engineering, with at least 1 to 2+ years in a leadership role
• Proven ability to lead teams through change and build cohesion during transitions
• Strong track record in setting architectural standards and leading teams through tooling or practice changes
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools and modern data pipeline architectures
• Effective communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
