Platform Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a remote platform engineering team, the full-time Platform Engineering Manager will oversee infrastructure management, drive Kubernetes deployment standardization, and enhance developer tooling while remaining hands-on in coding and debugging.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the platform engineering team, ensuring delivery, reliability, and career development while actively engaging in infrastructure tasks
• Implement auditable infrastructure practices, including environment separation and change control, to meet compliance and security standards
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, enforcing engineering standards through automated testing and deployment controls

Required qualifications:

• Extensive experience in platform and infrastructure engineering, particularly with AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes
• Proficient in infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and managing CI/CD pipelines
• Experience in creating developer tooling that simplifies deployment processes for application engineers
• Strong background in designing infrastructure for auditability and compliance, including SOC 2 requirements
• Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and mentoring engineering teams while maintaining technical involvement
