Platform Engineering Manager
Job Summary
Leading a team of engineers, the full-time remote Platform Engineering Manager will mentor and develop platform engineers while addressing complex infrastructure challenges and shaping the platform roadmap in a healthcare SaaS environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of platform engineers, overseeing hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Contribute to architecture decisions and infrastructure-as-code practices while addressing critical infrastructure issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform priorities with business goals and ensure system reliability and security
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of platform engineering experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes administration and related tools
- Expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code frameworks
- Deep knowledge of AWS and cloud-native containerization
- Working knowledge of observability and security/IAM principles
