Platform Engineering Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of engineers, the full-time remote Platform Engineering Manager will oversee infrastructure management, drive the migration to a standardized Kubernetes deployment, and enhance developer tooling for efficient software delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the platform engineering team, ensuring delivery, reliability, and the growth of engineers while remaining hands-on in infrastructure tasks
• Drive the migration to a standardized Kubernetes deployment path while maintaining operational continuity
• Build and improve developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines to enable self-service deployment and enforce engineering standards

Required qualifications

• Deep, hands-on experience in platform and infrastructure engineering, particularly with AWS, Linux, and Kubernetes
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform
• Experience in designing and owning CI/CD pipelines with security and quality controls
• Demonstrated ability to improve legacy infrastructure and manage change effectively
• Proven leadership skills in mentoring and growing engineering teams while maintaining technical involvement
