Platform Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the day-to-day reliability and performance of Kubernetes clusters, the full-time remote Platform Operations Engineer will partner with internal teams to onboard workloads, diagnose complex issues, and enhance observability monitoring for service availability.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the reliability and operations of Kubernetes clusters supporting internal customer use cases
• Collaborate with program teams to onboard new workloads and forecast capacity needs
• Enhance monitoring and alerting systems to improve service availability and reduce downtime

Required qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 3 years of experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required
• Experience with installing, deploying, and supporting Kubernetes clusters on-premises and/or in the cloud
• Proficiency in Kubernetes-adjacent tooling such as Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash
• Experience with observability tools like Grafana and Prometheus
