Platform Security Engineer
Job Summary
To strengthen the security of infrastructure and cloud platforms, the full-time remote Platform Security Engineer will identify and reduce security risks across AWS, Kubernetes, and containerized workloads while collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement practical security controls.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate security risks across AWS, Kubernetes, and platform infrastructure
- Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and technical risk assessments
- Collaborate with infrastructure and SRE teams to design secure-by-default patterns and controls
Required qualifications
- Senior-level experience in platform security, cloud security, or security engineering
- Deep practical knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, containers, and Linux security fundamentals
- Experience with large cloud environments and multi-cluster Kubernetes setups
- Ability to reason about identity, networking, and runtime security
- Experience managing security efforts across complex projects with multiple stakeholders
