Platform Software Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely on a long-term open-ended contract basis, the Platform & Infrastructure Software Engineer will develop and support core platform services, manage virtualization environments, and implement automation solutions for scalable network modeling and simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain core simulation platform services, node drivers, and runtime components
• Manage virtualization environments including Libvirt/KVM, Docker, Proxmox, Nutanix, and VMware
• Design, develop, and support REST APIs, SDKs, and automation integrations

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure development experience
• Strong programming experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, Libvirt, Docker, and VMware
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, SDKs, and automation solutions
• Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure cloud environments
