PMP Certified Project Manager
Job Summary
Managing full-lifecycle IT projects for VA modernization, the full-time remote PMP Certified Project Manager will plan, execute, monitor, and close projects across the End User Services portfolio while ensuring adherence to PMP standards and VA procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct all phases of project management initiation, planning, execution, and closeout consistent with PMP standards and VA procedures
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), and deliverables-based project schedules
- Monitor project milestones and critical dates, identifying potential risks and developing resolutions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related discipline, or 18+ years of relevant experience
- 10+ years of program or project management experience managing IT-related projects
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in project and life-cycle management methodologies
- Experience tracking cost, schedule, and performance progress
