Point of Sale System Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a remote Point of Sale (POS) System Engineer, the full-time position will manage the continuous delivery and lifecycle management of software applications while supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs in a fast-paced, client-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot reported issues from customers or third-party vendors
• Manage server operations and automated processes, including daily purges and batch processing
• Support deployment and upgrade of POS software and maintain security certifications

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure, or cybersecurity, preferably in federal or VA IT environments
• Experience with IBM WebSphere Application and IBM MQ
• Proficiency in SQL and PowerShell
• Experience with Windows 2019 Server and ability to obtain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance
