Job Summary
To support critical permitting and joint use activities, the contract-based Pole Attachment/QC Specialist will oversee complex projects, manage quality control of permits, and negotiate with municipalities and state agencies while working remotely in the PST time zone.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing strategies for railroad and state DOT crossings, bridge projects, and high-risk pole attachment requests
- Negotiating with municipalities, state agencies, and pole owners to resolve escalated or disputed applications
- Training and mentoring junior permitting staff to ensure compliance with NESC and owner-specific requirements
Required qualifications:
- Experience in permitting and joint use activities related to pole attachments
- Strong understanding of NESC and relevant regulatory requirements
- Proven negotiation skills with municipalities and state agencies
- Ability to communicate effectively about risks, bottlenecks, and timelines
- Experience in training or mentoring junior staff members
