Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Policy & Communications Coordinator will assist in policy development and analysis, manage communications projects, and support legislative agendas within the Office of Policy, External Affairs, and Priority Populations.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct research to inform the NYC Health Department's position on proposed laws, regulations, and policies
  • Draft comments, position statements, and summary reports on proposed legislation
  • Assist in the development and review of communications materials, including presentations and press releases
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in public health or a related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience developing reports and presentations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience interpreting and communicating neighborhood health data is a plus
