Policy Development Strategist

Job Summary

Leading the design and execution of cross-functional strategies, the full-time remote Policy Development Strategist will manage the alignment between policy priorities and business strategy while engaging with product teams and regulatory developments in the payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the operating model connecting the Policy team with product and business counterparts
• Stay informed on Stripe's product portfolio and regulatory developments, building relationships with product and business teams
• Translate complex policy issues into clear materials and develop advocacy positions for engagement with policymakers and regulators

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in policy, regulatory affairs, or government relations with a focus on payments and digital assets
• Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem, stablecoins, and financial crimes and risk policy
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder workstreams and set strategic agendas
• Experience synthesizing regulatory developments into actionable implications for product and business strategy
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple forums and workstreams simultaneously
