Job Summary

To support U.S. Government stakeholders, the part-time Policy Subject Matter Expert will lead the development of an analytical report on security challenges and strategic opportunities related to differing national interpretations of the Outer Space Treaty, focusing on U.S., Russian, and Chinese policies.

Key responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis on international space law and the Outer Space Treaty
  • Develop comprehensive reports identifying security risks, cooperation opportunities, and implications for military and commercial space operations
  • Synthesize findings into actionable deliverables, including formal reports and briefing materials for senior stakeholders
Required qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Political Science, Law, Security Studies, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in policy analysis, international security, or space-related programs
  • Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing international treaties or legal frameworks
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex geopolitical issues
  • Excellent written communication skills, including experience producing formal reports and briefings
