Portfolio Underwriter

Job Summary

Evaluating and assessing loan documentation, the full-time Portfolio Underwriter will work remotely to clear conditions for loan approval and closing while collaborating with processing and closing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyzing borrower credit, income, assets, and supporting documentation to determine loan eligibility
• Communicating underwriting decisions and placing conditions clearly with internal and external contacts
• Collaborating with loan processors and closing teams to ensure timely loan closings and high customer satisfaction

Required qualifications

• A minimum of 3 recent years' experience in underwriting or processing residential mortgage applications
• Strong ability to review and evaluate loan documentation for accuracy and compliance
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing a high-volume pipeline
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Flexibility to adjust to work situations and responsibilities based on business needs
