PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a PostgreSQL DBA for a long-term remote opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL environments for stability and security
• Support the migration of enterprise databases from SQL Server to PostgreSQL
• Implement automation for provisioning, backups, and maintenance using various scripting tools

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in production database operations
• Strong understanding of SQL Server and PostgreSQL internals
• Experience with migration tools such as AWS SCT and DMS
• Familiarity with cloud database administration, specifically AWS RDS or Azure
• Ability to automate deployments and health checks using scripting languages
