Job Summary
Seeking a highly experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator, the remote full-time position will manage large-scale PostgreSQL environments, focusing on AWS RDS database architecture, performance tuning, and automation while ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, design, implement, and administer PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS
- Monitor and maintain PostgreSQL databases, performing performance tuning and optimization
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and operational runbooks, while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of PostgreSQL Database Administration experience
- Extensive AWS RDS PostgreSQL administration experience
- 8+ years of PL/pgSQL development experience
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent work experience
