Seeking a highly experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator, the remote position requires managing large scale PostgreSQL environments, including AWS RDS, while ensuring database performance tuning, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, and administer PostgreSQL databases on AWS RDS
- Monitor and maintain PostgreSQL databases, performing performance tuning and optimization
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and operational runbooks, including automation scripts
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of PostgreSQL Database Administration experience
- Extensive AWS RDS PostgreSQL administration experience
- 8+ years of PL/pgSQL development experience
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning and optimization
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
