Power BI Lead

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Power BI Lead will manage the technical architecture for BI reporting, oversee the semantic layer, mentor analysts, and develop complex reports and dashboards while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and govern the Power BI semantic layer and data model, ensuring data freshness and reliability
• Establish and enforce BI governance standards, including naming conventions, access control, and documentation practices
• Build complex reports and dashboards, writing advanced DAX and overseeing analyst-produced reports

Required qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop and DAX, with experience in complex data models and transformations
• Strong SQL skills for query optimization and relational database management
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and Power BI Service administration
• Experience in the mortgage/lending industry, particularly with relevant metrics and regulatory reporting
• Proven ability to define BI standards and effectively communicate with executive stakeholders
