Power Distribution Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled Power Distribution Engineer to work remotely, who will design and customize power distribution products such as switchboards and PDUs from concept to manufacturing release, leveraging CAD expertise and knowledge of UL standards.

Key responsibilities

• Customize switchboard, PDU, and RPP designs based on customer specifications and project requirements
• Create detailed mechanical and electrical CAD drawings in SolidWorks, adhering to UL standards
• Manage multiple design projects simultaneously while maintaining up-to-date design documentation and communicating changes to stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD tools, particularly SolidWorks
• Demonstrated experience designing UL 891-compliant low-voltage switchboards
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and material specifications
