Power Plant Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Joining the Network Operations team, the full-time Power Plant Operations Engineer will manage and optimize the performance of energy storage systems, collaborating with technical teams and developing solutions to enhance operational efficiency in a Broomfield, CO office or remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prioritize, and troubleshoot energy storage system equipment and operational incidents based on customer requirements
• Collaborate with the Product Development Team to ensure operational sustainability is considered during new product introductions
• Create key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop tools for continuous improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 1-3+ years of experience with battery, solar, and power conversion systems
• Basic knowledge of network communication architectures and protocols
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, SQL, Python, and Linux/command line is a plus
• Strong communication skills for high-stress situations with customers and technical personnel
