Power System Study Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Power System Study Engineer to perform analyses related to renewable generation interconnections.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical power system analyses for renewable generation interconnections including steady state, short circuit, and dynamic stability
• Perform transmission planning studies for generation and load interconnections
• Produce and review technical reports and presentations for stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Two years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or in a related role
• Experience with power-system tools such as PSS/E
• Knowledge of transmission planning and North American ISO/RTO grid interconnection practices
• Experience with automation scripts, preferably in Python
