Power Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Power Systems Engineer - Transient Studies Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform EMT-based transient studies and simulations using PSCAD or EMTP-RV
• Conduct core power system studies, including power flow, short-circuit, and harmonic analysis
• Prepare technical reports and present findings to clients and utilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in power systems studies
• Experience with EMT simulation tools, preferably PSCAD
• Knowledge of insulation coordination, power flow, and harmonic analysis
• Ability to evaluate standard engineering techniques and procedures
