Practice Evaluation Specialist

Job Summary

To support an effective medical staff peer review program, the full-time remote Practice Evaluation Specialist III will manage the coordination of provider peer reviews, conduct comprehensive quality reviews of electronic medical records, and compile data to evaluate the quality of care and competency of the Medical Staff.

Key responsibilities

• Review cases generated by chosen indicators or referrals, generating peer review worksheets for appropriate committee review
• Facilitate timely case actions and completion of reviews in collaboration with Medical Staff Department Chairs and committees
• Educate medical staff leaders and providers on compliance with peer review standards and participate in performance improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• Strong knowledge of clinical practice and/or hospital operations
• EPIC experience and a degree in nursing or a related healthcare field, with a minimum of two years of clinical experience
• Working knowledge of peer review processes, patient rights, and healthcare regulations
• Experience in patient safety initiatives and clinical quality process improvement
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and clinical/healthcare software applications
