Pre Access Specialist

Job Summary

To facilitate a seamless patient experience through the Revenue Cycle process, the full-time Pre Access Specialist will manage Epic work queues, verify insurance coverage, and ensure accurate patient registration while working remotely after an initial onsite training period.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Epic work queues and perform outreach to collect necessary patient information
• Register complete and accurate demographic and financial information for billing purposes
• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility using electronic systems or phone calls

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or healthcare certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Clinical, Revenue Cycle, Patient Access, or Insurance roles
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 codes, and pediatric insurance benefits
• Familiarity with EHR systems, preferably Epic
• Certification in healthcare access (e.g., CHAA or CMAA) preferred
