Pre-Apprenticeship Specialist

Job Summary

The full-time Specialist, Pre-Apprenticeships will manage program development and outreach efforts to expand registered apprenticeship pathways for high school students in Los Angeles County, collaborating with educational institutions and industry partners while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison to K-12 districts and community colleges to support the implementation of pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship pathways
• Collaborate with district staff to identify and develop career pathways that align with regional workforce needs
• Coordinate and deliver presentations, workshops, and career events to promote work-based learning opportunities

Required qualifications

• Relevant BA/BS degree, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both
• Minimum of three years of related work experience in workforce development or K-12 education
• At least two years of experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred
• Demonstrated comfort with public speaking and presentations
• Passion for equity-minded initiatives and a desire to impact lives positively
