Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Authorization Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze information required to complete pre-authorizations based on insurance/payer requirements
• Utilize third-party payer/insurance portals to process pre-authorization submissions and document results
• Communicate pre-authorization approvals or denials to leadership, providers, and nurses, and advocate for timely processing

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Detailed knowledge of insurance providers and their authorization approval processes
• Experience with pre-authorization processes and documentation
• Ability to collaborate with healthcare professionals to secure necessary clinical information
• Capacity to identify challenges and work with management to resolve issues
