Pre-Certification Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Certification Coordinator I (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiates and facilitates the pre-determination process for medical/surgical procedures
• Contacts insurance companies for benefit verification and pre-certification, while maintaining communication with financial counselors and physicians
• Maintains a log of pre-certifications and documents received certifications from insurance companies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification or a combination of education and/or experience
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a medical office setting
• No specific certification or professional license required
• Associate degree preferred
• Certifications such as CPC or RHIT are advantageous but not mandatory
