Pre-Certification Coordinator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Certification Coordinator (Remote) - Surgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiates and facilitates the pre-determination process for medical/surgical procedures
• Contacts insurance companies for benefit verification and pre-certification, and maintains communication with department faculty regarding schedules
• Maintains logs of pre-certifications and documents received confirmations from insurance companies

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
• No specific certification or professional license required
• Associate degree preferred
• Certifications such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) are a plus
