Pre-Certification Coordinator

Job Summary

Pre-Certification Coordinator is a full-time remote position responsible for obtaining prior authorization for medications, infusions, and ancillary tests through interactions with third-party payers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies for authorization of medications, infusions, and ancillary testing
• Document all necessary authorizations in Epic according to department policy
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding the pre-certification process

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Two years of experience in a medical office setting
• No specific certification or professional license required
• Associate degree preferred
• Certifications such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) are a plus
