Pre-Certification Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Certification Representative responsible for obtaining and providing accurate data input for precertification/preauthorization from insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain pre-certification for services by effectively communicating with insurance companies
• Verify medical insurance information and maintain confidentiality of patient data
• Review claim denials and accurately enter patient data into the computer system

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2-3 years of healthcare or physician's office experience in handling pre-authorizations
• Extensive knowledge of individual payor websites and medical terminology
• Proficiency with MS Office, including basic Excel skills
• Experience with GE Centricity or EPIC PB preferred
