Pre-Services Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Pre-Services Specialist to provide patient access services.

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-register patients, verify insurance eligibility, and collect patient responsibility amounts
• Establish contact with patients and manage pre-registration work queues
• Collaborate with departments to ensure financial clearance prior to service

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• Minimum of one year in healthcare patient access or equivalent customer service experience preferred
• Knowledge of insurance requirements for governmental and non-governmental carriers
• Compliance with confidentiality guidelines and regulatory standards (EMTALA, HIPAA)
• Computer proficiency; EPIC experience preferred
