Precertification Specialist

Job Summary

To enhance patient care, the full-time Precertification Specialist will obtain pre-authorizations for outpatient infusion services, ensuring timely communication with patients and providers while working in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the pre-authorization process for outpatient infusion services, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements and guidelines
• Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and office staff regarding authorization statuses and any issues that arise
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of pre-authorization activities and assist with monthly reporting as needed

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service or healthcare setting
• Familiarity with insurance benefits and pre-authorization processes
• Basic typing and data entry skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
