Precertification Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Outpatient Infusion department, the full-time Precertification Specialist will manage pre-authorization processes, ensuring timely communication with patients and providers while maintaining high customer service standards in a virtual environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Obtain pre-authorization numbers and assist with authorization issues, ensuring compliance with insurance requirements
• Maintain accurate records and notes regarding authorization status and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers
• Support training and mentoring of new employees while collaborating with team members to optimize workflows

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or healthcare setting
• Basic knowledge of insurance benefits and pre-authorization processes
• Experience with medical terminology and data entry
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
