Job Summary
Supporting the preconstruction function, the full-time Preconstruction Manager will manage contractor engagement, bidding, estimating, and budget formation while working remotely or from preferred locations in Denver, Chicago, or Baltimore.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate stakeholder engagement from development handoff through bidding and contract execution
- Oversee project-specific contract management and ensure alignment of commercial terms and scope
- Produce and validate cost estimates and project budgets, ensuring they align with project objectives and execution strategies
Required qualifications
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in estimating, cost analysis, or project management for commercial solar and/or BESS projects
- Experience leading field diligence efforts and managing development-phase due diligence activities
- Proficiency in project management software, job costing software, and ERP platforms
- Ability to understand technical documentation related to renewable energy projects
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
