Preservice Authorization Representative

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Preservice Authorization Representative will manage insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and patient communications regarding coverage and payment responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and document pre-authorizations in the billing system
• Contact and counsel patients about insurance coverage and payment issues prior to surgery
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of patient insurance and demographic information in the system

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; college degree is a plus
• Minimum of two years front office experience in a medical environment
• Experience with insurance, scheduling, and Payor portals
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a team environment
