Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a remote full-time Principal AI Engineer, this role focuses on designing and implementing scalable agentic systems, establishing engineering standards for AI workflows, and enabling teams to build production-ready agents using Gemini and Vertex AI.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement enterprise-grade agent orchestration frameworks and establish standards for agent lifecycle management
• Lead technical integration of Gemini models via Vertex AI, optimizing prompt engineering and developing internal SDKs
• Build reference implementations for high-code agents in various programming languages and establish secure integration patterns

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on distributed systems and backend architecture
• Deep coding expertise in Python and at least one of Go, Java, or TypeScript
• Production experience with LLM-based systems, including prompt engineering and agent frameworks
• Experience with Vertex AI, Gemini APIs, or similar enterprise AI platforms
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and cloud-native architectures
