Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical direction of AI/ML systems, the full-time remote Principal AI Engineer will define architecture standards, solve complex design challenges, and collaborate with leadership to shape the AI roadmap while ensuring the reliability and scalability of deployed systems.

Key responsibilities

• Define AI architecture and technical strategy, leading implementation from design to production
• Build scalable ML platforms and integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems
• Co-define the AI roadmap with leadership and mentor the engineering team to foster a strong engineering culture

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering
• Strong proficiency in Python and a solid software engineering background
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
• Expertise in MLOps and AI infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with LLM systems and cloud-native AI architecture patterns
