Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

Leading AI-driven engagements, the remote Principal AI Engineer (Technical Lead) will serve as the technical authority, designing and delivering conversational AI solutions while mentoring technical teams and ensuring adherence to architectural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical authority and delivery lead for AI-driven projects
• Design, develop, and implement conversational AI solutions using modern orchestration platforms
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines utilizing vector databases for document ingestion and retrieval workflows

Required qualifications

• 8-10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a technical lead role
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI or Google Vertex AI
• Proficiency in Python 3.10+ and experience deploying services using FastAPI or similar frameworks
• Experience designing and deploying RAG pipelines with vector databases like Milvus or OpenSearch
• Strong client-facing communication skills for presenting technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
