Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

Setting the technical direction for complex Generative AI projects, the full-time remote Principal AI Engineer will architect and build scalable systems, lead multi-step reasoning workflows, and collaborate with client leadership to translate business strategies into AI solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Own the architecture for complex GenAI systems and establish evaluation and observability standards
• Engage in hands-on development, focusing on foundation-model fine-tuning and advanced RAG workflows using Python on Google Cloud
• Advise clients and shape pre-sales solutions, serving as the technical authority in engagements

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of experience in software, AI, or ML engineering with a proven track record of delivering AI systems to production
• Demonstrated technical leadership in setting architectural direction across engagements
• Experience deploying GenAI or agentic products in production environments
• Strong data engineering skills and knowledge of SQL
