Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

Operating remotely, the full-time Principal AI Engineer will set technical direction across multiple services, define AI platform patterns, and write production code daily while providing technical leadership and support to engineering teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Set technical direction across multiple services and teams with broad autonomy
• Define AI platform patterns for agent orchestration, tooling, governance, and evaluation
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship while delivering complex functionality within engineering teams

Required qualifications:

• Principal-level experience as a technical leader with hands-on production coding in Python
• Expertise in cloud platform engineering, preferably with AWS
• Experience with GenAI/LLM application engineering and agent orchestration frameworks
• Strong background in data persistence and application security in a multi-tenant context
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
