Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

To define and own the end-to-end model training strategy, the full-time remote Principal AI Engineer will focus on training and fine-tuning traditional AI/ML models and large language models, while managing data pipelines and ensuring high-quality training data practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the model training strategy for traditional AI/ML and large language models
• Design and optimize data pipelines for data ingestion, cleaning, labeling, and feature engineering
• Establish standards for data governance, lineage, quality, and handling of training data

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree in ML, AI, or Data Science preferred
• 12 or more years of experience in AI/ML engineering or data engineering with hands-on model training
• Strong experience with parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques and ML/DL frameworks
• Proficiency in building and operating large-scale data pipelines and platforms
• Understanding of data management practices including dataset storage architecture and governance
