Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
Leading discovery initiatives remotely, the full-time Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer will facilitate technical workshops with customer architects and AI teams, scoping AI deployments and translating complex concepts into executive proposals.
Key responsibilities
- Run technical discovery workshops with customer architects, data leaders, and AI teams to map data sources and define tooling requirements
- Own the scoping for AI deployments, establishing clear acceptance criteria for agent accuracy and data governance
- Translate complex AI and data concepts into architecture proposals for CxO-level stakeholders, defending trade-offs as necessary
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Principal Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Tech Lead in a data platform, AI, or SaaS company
- Strong customer-facing experience
- Experience with MCP, RBAC, OAuth, and RAG
