Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
Leading technical discovery initiatives, the full-time remote Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer will collaborate with customer architects, data leaders, and AI teams to map data sources and define AI deployment criteria.
Key responsibilities
- Run technical discovery workshops with customer stakeholders to identify data sources and requirements
- Own the scoping process for AI deployments, ensuring clear acceptance criteria for accuracy and governance
- Translate complex AI and data concepts into executive-ready architecture proposals for CxO-level stakeholders
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in a Solutions Architect, Principal Software Engineer, Forward Deployed Engineer, or Tech Lead role at a data platform, AI, or SaaS company
- Strong customer-facing experience
- Familiarity with MCP, RBAC, OAuth, and RAG technologies
