Principal AI Engineer

Job Summary

To define and own the end-to-end model training strategy across Commercial AI products, the full-time remote Principal AI Engineer will focus on fine-tuning large language models, optimizing data pipelines, and establishing data governance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the model training strategy, including traditional AI/ML models and large language models
• Design and optimize data pipelines for ingestion, cleaning, labeling, and feature engineering
• Establish standards for data storage, versioning, and governance related to training data

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred
• 12 or more years of experience in AI/ML engineering or data engineering with hands-on model training
• Strong experience with parameter-efficient fine-tuning techniques and ML/DL frameworks
• Proficiency in building and operating large-scale data pipelines and platforms
• Understanding of data management practices, including governance and PII handling
