Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
To lead the architecture and delivery of next-generation AI solutions, the fully remote Principal AI Engineer will design and implement enterprise-scale Generative AI and agentic AI systems, driving their adoption across various insurance operations.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-scale Generative AI and agentic AI solutions
- Personally design and deliver foundational AI capabilities, including AI-powered assistants and workflow automation
- Establish and enforce engineering practices for AI evaluation, model risk, and responsible AI
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, or AI/ML development
- 4+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering Generative AI solutions in production environments
- Strong software engineering skills with expertise in Python and modern cloud-native application development
- Hands-on experience with AWS and modern AI services such as Amazon Bedrock
