Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
Guiding a distributed team of developers, the remote Principal AI Engineer will provide technical leadership and architectural oversight while building scalable, AI-integrated software solutions, mentoring developers, and optimizing system design.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for the design, development, and deployment of AI-driven software solutions
- Architect and build robust AI integrations, including MCPs/APIs and AI agents, to enhance existing platforms
- Mentor globally distributed developers, translating high-level product goals into actionable engineering tasks
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on design and architectural leadership
- 2+ years of experience working with AI/ML models in a production environment
- Strong background in backend or full-stack technologies, particularly Python
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Devin AI, or GH Copilot
- Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams
