Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
Shaping the future of AI-assisted engineering, the full-time Principal AI Engineer will design and evolve core Python-based data extraction and load infrastructure while mentoring engineers and collaborating cross-functionally in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own platform architecture by designing and evolving data extraction and pipeline systems serving 500+ integrations
- Lead the modernization of legacy systems into scalable, AI-native infrastructure
- Mentor engineers on AI-assisted development practices while ensuring code quality and system reliability
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of backend engineering experience, including 2 years in a principal or architect-level role
- Proven experience designing and scaling complex systems
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and agentic coding frameworks
- Strong background in distributed systems, including Kubernetes and workflow orchestration
- Solid SQL skills and experience with query optimization across PostgreSQL and ClickHouse
