Principal AI Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing AI platform, the full-time Principal AI Engineer will design and implement production AI systems across various cloud environments, ensuring compliance and reusability while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Build a governed model access layer for self-hosted and managed AI models, ensuring compliance and multi-tenancy
- Integrate AI capabilities into product experiences and enterprise workflows, establishing reusable patterns for evaluation and governance
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and compliance teams to introduce AI-native architectures that meet regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years of experience shipping AI/ML systems to production
- Strong proficiency in Python and familiarity with Java, Go, or TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with secure cloud architecture across major cloud providers
- Experience with MLOps/LLMOps tooling such as AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, or Azure AI Foundry
- Proven ability to design for regulated environments, including HIPAA and GDPR compliance
